Scope
With this privacy policy, users are informed about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of their data by the responsible provider.
The legal basis for data protection is provided by the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).
Contact form
If you contact us via the online form or by email, we store the information you provide in order to answer your inquiry and to be able to address any follow-up questions.
Integration of third-party services and content
Our online offer sometimes includes content, services and performances from other providers. These can be, for example, maps provided by Google Maps, videos from YouTube, as well as graphics and images from other websites. For these data to be retrieved and displayed correctly in the user’s browser, it is absolutely necessary to transmit the IP address. The providers (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) therefore see the IP address of the respective user.
Although we strive to use only third-party providers that need the IP address solely for delivering content, we have no influence over whether the IP address may also be stored. In this case, this process may serve, among other things, statistical purposes. If we become aware that the IP address is being stored, we will inform our users accordingly.
Cookies
This website uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer by the server. They contain information about the browser, IP address, operating system and internet connection. We do not pass this data on to third parties, nor do we link it to personal data without your consent.
Cookies primarily serve two purposes. They help us make navigation through our website easier for you and enable the correct display of the website. They are not used to introduce viruses or start programs.
Users have the option of using our website without cookies. To do this, the corresponding settings must be changed in the browser. Please refer to your browser’s help function to learn how to deactivate cookies. However, we would like to point out that this may impair some functions of this website and limit user comfort. The pages http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ (USA) and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ (Europe) allow you to manage online advertising cookies.
Web analytics using Matomo (formerly Piwik)
Scope of processing of personal data:
We use the software “Matomo” (www.matomo.org) on this website, a service provided by InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand. The software places a cookie (a text file) on your computer that allows your browser to be recognized. When subpages of our website are accessed, the following data is stored:
– the IP address of the user, shortened by the last two bytes (anonymized)
– the subpage accessed and the time of access
– the page from which the user navigated to our website (referrer)
– which browser with which plugins, which operating system and which screen resolution are used
– the time spent on the website
– the pages that are accessed from the subpage visited
The data collected with Matomo is stored on our own servers. It is not passed on to third parties.
Legal basis
The legal basis on which we process personal data using Matomo is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Purpose of data processing
We need this data in order to analyze the surfing behavior of users and to obtain information about the use of individual components of the website. This enables us to continuously optimize the website and its user-friendliness. These purposes constitute our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. By anonymizing the IP address, we take account of the users’ interest in protecting their personal data. The data is never used to personally identify the user of the website and is not merged with other data.
Duration of storage:
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for our purposes.
Right to object
You can object to the recording of data in the manner described above in three different ways:
1. You can completely prevent the storage of cookies in your browser. However, this may mean that you can no longer use certain functions of our website that require identification (shopping cart, orders, personal settings, etc.).
2. You can activate the “Do Not Track” setting in your browser. Our Matomo system is configured to respect this setting.
3. You can create a so-called opt-out cookie by clicking with your mouse below. This cookie is valid for two years and ensures that Matomo will not record your future visits. Please note that the opt-out cookie will be deleted if you delete all cookies.
SSL encryption
In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS.
Google Maps and YouTube
We use Google Maps to embed maps and YouTube to embed videos (legal basis pursuant to GDPR: Art. 6 (1) (f) in connection with the operation of our website and taking into account the interests of the data subjects by disabling tracking functions in the YouTube code). Google LLC in the USA has committed itself to maintaining an adequate level of data protection in accordance with the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield frameworks. Further information can be found in Google’s detailed privacy policy.
Facebook social plug-in
We integrate plug-ins of the social network Facebook (address: 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA) on our websites. You can recognize the plug-ins – an overview can be found here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/Plug-ins/ – by the Like button or the Facebook logo.
When you access one of our web pages containing a Facebook plug-in, a direct connection to Facebook is established. We have no influence on the type and scope of the data collected, stored and processed by Facebook. We can only inform you according to our current level of knowledge.
Facebook is informed via the plug-in that you have accessed the corresponding page of our offer. This also applies to users who are not registered with Facebook. In this case, there is a possibility that Facebook stores the IP address.
If you are a Facebook member and logged in, visiting a web page with a Facebook plug-in can be clearly associated with your Facebook user account. In addition, the plug-ins transmit all interactions, for example if you use the Like button or leave a comment.
To prevent Facebook from storing data about you, please log out of Facebook before visiting our website. You can also block the plug-ins with browser add-ons (for example “Facebook Blocker”).
Information on data protection provisions, the purpose and scope of data collection and data processing as well as the settings options for protecting your privacy on Facebook can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.php.
Data minimization
In accordance with the principles of data avoidance and data minimization, we store personal data only for as long as is necessary or as required by law (statutory retention period). If the purpose of the collected information ceases to apply or the retention period ends, we block or delete the data.
Your rights to information, rectification, blocking, deletion and objection
You have the right to request free information about the personal data stored about you and/or to request correction, blocking or deletion. Exceptions: This concerns the prescribed data storage for business processing or data subject to the legal retention obligation.
For these purposes, please contact our data protection officer (contact details: see at the end of this privacy policy).
In order to be able to consider a data block at any time, it is necessary to keep the data in a block file for control purposes. If there is no statutory archiving obligation, you can also request the deletion of the data. Otherwise, we will block the data if you so wish.
Changes to our privacy policy
To ensure that our privacy policy always complies with the current legal requirements, we reserve the right to make changes at any time. This also applies if the privacy policy needs to be adapted due to new or revised services, for example new service offerings. The new privacy policy will then apply the next time you visit our website.
